The TPIC2603 is designed to switch up to six medium-current low-side loads and provide fault protection and diagnostics for each of its six channels. Among its fault protection attributes are a low duty cycle PWM mode to protect the output transistors during an over-current / short-to-bat-tery fault, inductive voltage transient snubbing for over-voltage faults, open- load/short-to-ground protection, and global over-temperature sensing. Thedevice also provides a serial interfaceto minimize interconnects to the sys-tem controller for reduced costs.
