SL811HS VxWorks Host Controller Driver Errata

The SL811HS supports auto increment mode for read/write cycles in the A0 mode. In the A0 mode,the micro-controller sets up the address only once. The internal address pointer will advance to the next DATA location on any subsequent DATA Read/Write access. Without using the auto increment feature, the micro-controller sets up the address by writing an address with A0 input driven low (‘0’) follow by data write with A0 input driven high (‘1’). Any subsequent data Read/Write access, the driver sets up the address and then writes the next data. The driver performance can be enhanced up to 10 to 15 percent with the auto increment feature enabled.
Cause: The auto increment has been disabled due to a glitch that occasionally occurs on the nWR control
line of the WRS SBC405 Platform. This glitch causes the same data to be written twice to the
SL811HS when the auto increment feature is utilized.
